                                Amillennialists?

The definition of the word amillennialist is one who believes that there is no literal one thousand year period in which Jesus Christ will return to earth and reign on a throne in Jerusalem.

We have recently been told that we are amillennialists.  Now, we must confess we had never heard the words “amillennial, amillennialists or amillennialism” before and were quite interested to see what we were being labeled and if we were being complimented or chastened.

Although we do not care for labels, other than that of Christians, it seems that some could call us amillennialists.   We do, however, believe in a spiritually literal thousand (Divine Completeness and Glory of God) year period of us becoming kings and priests in the Kingdom of God through truth and knowledge from above.  We believe that we are in the millennium or the thousand year reign with Christ now.   We believe the thousand year reign began when Christ completed the plan of salvation by defeating death, ascended to sit on the heavenly throne at the right hand of our Father and poured out His Holy Spirit upon all who would ask and believe.  It will end when our Father’s Glory has been divinely completed and His Son, Jesus Christ is revealed in His children.  In Mark 1:15, Christ told us that the Kingdom of God is fulfilled and at hand.  He tells us in Luke 17:21 that the Kingdom of God is within us and in Romans 14:17 that the Kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

One of the criticisms of amillennialists that could not be further from the truth is that they are anti-Semitic.  It is true that we teach that Israel and Jerusalem of today are symbolic for ALL who accept our Father’s plan of Salvation, Jesus Christ!  There is certainly no discrimination or hostility towards the people of the nation of Israel or any Jewish person.  In verse 8 of Romans chapter 11, it states clearly that Israel was blind and deaf until this day--the day of the Lord's completion of our Father's plan of salvation.   II Corinthians 3:13-18 also states clearly that the children of Israel can turn to the Lord and the veil upon their hearts will be taken away.  Critics say that we have difficulty explaining Romans chapter 11, but we think that this chapter proves that we are the new Jerusalem and Israel, grafted in or adopted through the blood of Christ!  The twelve tribes were scattered all over the world and therefore, could be anyone and anywhere, but always will be known today by their acceptance of Jesus Christ!  Chapter 11 of Romans warns us of boasting or being prideful against others in our salvation because we know how our heavenly Father hates Pride…it was Satan’s downfall.

We were taught that in Ezekiel 37:15-28 the instructions from God have not happened yet and will happen in the "millennium", but we read that the two sticks have been joined together under one King, Jesus Christ, proving that we are in the "millennium" now!  All of God’s people (Israel) are being called in under the Kingship of His only begotten son Jesus Christ!  Ezekiel is a book of prophecies that have been fulfilled by Jesus Christ!

Another criticism of amillennialism is that it spiritualizes scripture.  We do not take this as an insult or chastisement, because to spiritualize means to "deprive of worldliness" and that is exactly what we intend to do.  We need to see the Word of God through spiritual eyes (led by the Holy Spirit) and not the worldly traditional teachings of man.

We also believe that we are in the millennium now because although Satan's dominion was wounded (Rev. 13:3) by Christ’s death and resurrection, his hour is now and we can see his evil all over the world. NOW is the judgment and tribulation of this world.  Christ tells us, because He was crucified and resurrected, He will call all unto Him.  Thank you,
Jesus!

John 12:31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out (spread far).  32  And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

John 14:30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.
